If I lost a book, what will I do?
If you lost a book you must report it immediately to the University Library System (ULS) Director or Unit Librarian and settle it within 30 days from report of loss.
Is there a video where I can see the various service areas of the University Library?
Yes, It is available in “Gallery” on this website.
What are the types of information resources available in the library?
The information resources available in the library are books, periodicals, non-print and electronic media materials (e.g., CDs, DVDs, CD/DVD-ROMs, audiobooks, online databases, videotapes, board games, etc.).
Are there available computers with Internet connection in the library?
Yes. There are available computers with Internet connection in the Internet Services Room, American Corner, Circulation Services, Filipiniana Section, and in the various unit libraries as well as in the College Reading Centers.
Is the library a Wi-Fi Zone?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available at the Main Library and at the unit libraries as well as at the College Reading Centers.
What if I can’t find the books I need on the shelf?
Ask for help at the service desk/s. Desk staff may also be able to suggest alternatives source/s so that your research is not delayed.
How many books can I loan out at a time?
Students (of the University) may borrow five circulation books at a time for 3-7 days depending on the demand of the books, while faculty or staff members (of the University) may barrow 10 circulation books at a time for 14 days.
For reserve books, a library users (from the University) may borrow three books at a time depending on the demand of the books.
Is photocopying service available in the Main Library? If yes, how much does it cost?
Yes, The cost of photo-copying is: medium paper-Php 1.25 and long paper - Php 1.50.
Is there a fee for non-MMSU library users?
Yes, non-MMSU library users shall pay for a fee of Php 50.00 per visit/day. However, user from the universities/colleges which are members of the Library Consortium in Region I (LIBCORE) can use the library resources free of charge.
How much is the Internet fee in the library?
A user shall pay for an Internet fee of Php 10.00 per hour.
Can I renew the books I borrowed?
Yes. To renew, present the book/s first then request for renewal.
Where do I check out at library materials?
Users (from MMSU) can check out at books at the Circulation Desk, Filipiniana Section, American Corner, and at the unit/branch libraries.
